Christmas at Lake Prags

The Lake Prags is worth a visit at any time of the year. In winter – covered by a sparkling white blanket of snow – the lake presents itself from a unique magical perspective, creates a wonderful pre-Christmas atmosphere among its visitors.

In three weekends in December, the picturesque Lake Prags in Hochpustertal becomes the scene of joyful anticipation of Christmas. In this occasion, adults and children will enjoy culinary highlights and suitable musical entertainment in the middle of a breathtaking alpine landscape. At the Lake Prags, all visitors may experience the Advent season in a very special and traditional way. 

Every day, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., a small Advent market takes place directly at the lake. You may enjoy a glass of mulled wine at a campfire, whereas your children can stroke donkeys, sheep & Co. in the stable near the chapel. Various music groups and singers provide musical entertainment at the stable and in the hotel. Moreover, the icy surface of the lake is ideal for funny horse-drawn sleigh rides with the entire family. In the hotel, you are indulged with coffee, cake and small snacks.

A special highlight for your children will be the visit of St. Nicholas.
