Strolling through the picturesque historic centre of Brixen, enjoying refined specialities and celebrating with friends – this is the traditional festival in Brixen!
Every two years, during three days in August, it is time for the well-known festival in Brixen’s historic centre. 2024, numerous associations from Brixen and environs organize this festival in honour of the episcopal city of Brixen already for the 23td time.
Visitors from near and far are offered much fun and entertainment. In addition to musical, typical South Tyrolean and acting performances, you are offered a broad selection of culinary delicacies at the festival stands in the city centre.
On Friday, the festival begins with a ceremonial parade. Successively, you are offered many performances on the various stages, which continue also on Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, a solemn mass is held in the cathedral.
