The return of the cattle to Reischach is a centuries-old tradition linked to the agricultural and pastoral life of the area. Every year, with the arrival of autumn, the farmers drive their cattle from the high-altitude pastures into the valley to face the rigours of winter.
In Reischach, as in many other parts of South Tyrol, return of the cattle is a festive occasion, accompanied by celebrations, music and the blessing of animals, symbolising a harmonious relationship with nature.
The festival starts at 11 a.m. with the Untodochbüibm music group. The arrival of the cattle is scheduled for 2.30 p.m., to entertain until then, in addition to the good music, there is also the excellent food and drink you will find at the stands set up for the festival.
The festival continues in the afternoon with music by the Gams'n Roses and lots more fun for young and old!
The Rural Youth of Reischach, organiser of the festival, will be delighted to see many of you taking part in this event, which is very popular in the village!
